What is Messy Church?

Messy Church

So maybe you’re wondering “What is Messy Church…and why would my family want to come along?” Well, it’s “Church…but not as you know it!”…so says the official Messy Church website!
If you’ve wanted to come to church but Sunday mornings don’t suit you or your family, then why not give Messy Church a go?
Messy Church is great fun for all the family; it gives families a chance to spend quality time together, be part of their local church and find out about God – and all in a fun way.

Children must be accompanied by an adult, but come ready to have fun- it’s cooking, it’s art and crafts, it’s eating together and ….. it’s messy!

What happens at Messy Church?

All activities are available for children and adults to do together.

We begin with a choice of crafts, games and activities which help us to explore the theme. Then we come together for a short talk and a couple of songs, before rounding up the afternoon with an afternoon meal.
There is no charge, no reservation and no ticket required… we’ll be here with the mess waiting for you – see you at Messy Church!

When?
Messy Church is held bi-monthly on the third Saturday in January, March, May, July, September and November.

Each Messy Church starts at 4:00pm and finishes at 6:00pm.
